Student members must meet the criteria outlined below. They have no vote and may not serve as officers in the chapter.
Criteria:
- Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program. Must provide proof of enrollment.
- Coursework, taken or planned, supports interest in HRM or related degree program.
- Limited to 6 years from initial start date. A full-time student enrolled in a graduate degree program may apply for an additional 2 years of student membership.
- Cannot have previously held a professional membership.
- Upon graduation or withdrawal, must convert to professional membership during next renewal cycle.
- Not eligible for students holding any form of current SHRM professional, associate, or general membership.
